Yeliz Yorulmaz

Bio

Yeliz Yorulmaz Kocaballi was born in 1983 in Turkey and studied Psychology, Fine Arts, Sculpture and Ceramics at Middle East Technical University. She has worked as an artist and her works have been featured in many exhibitions and festivals throughout Turkey and Australia. In her artworks Yeliz often plays with traditional elements of different cultures and resituates them in modern life context through collages and assemblages. She makes use of contemporary techniques including computer tools and internet based anonymous visual databases. As an unceasing synthesizer, Yeliz is currently continuing to blend cultural signs with personal clues or vice versa in one+2 artist studios in Balmain.
