"A common theme within my work is a blurring of boundaries between the context of craft, art and function. Using a wide use of materials and unconventional placement of pieces, I like to investigate the potential use of art and its relationship towards self- awareness. Trained in contemporary jewellery with a background in design and fine arts; I have exhibited throughout Australasia and Europe. From jewellery pieces that mark the body when worn, to paintings that investigate scars and wounds on the skin, my work often focus's on boundaries both physical and psychological. Interested in the creative process and the space between form and function I use materials that are sympathetic to the chosen subject matter. Whether it be silver pieces designed to be worn in a contemporary way that challenges the traditional; or a painting that deals with the intimate space of others I like to re-incorporate the audiences engagement with the work to add another dimension that delves into extending boundaries between maker and viewer."
